Rock Star Cake

This is a cake I did for a friend's little girl's birthday. She was having a rock star themed birthday party. I modelled the guitar after a guitar that she owned and added the five star-shaped cakes to frame it. Everything pictured is edible. The cake is a plain pound cake with buttercream frosting. Accents are made of gumpaste and fondant.

Princess Castle Cake

This is a princess castle cake that my friend Heidi and I decorated together. We got the idea from a picture of a castle cake from another decorator that was posted online. The entire castle is a carved and stacked pound cake covered in buttercream frosting made to serve 55 people. The "stones", windows, and a few other decorations were made with MMF (marshmallow fondant). The tiara on top was made with royal icing.

They Might Be Giants Cake

This is a cake I did for friends son's 3rd birthday. It's a double layer 9x13 chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. The birthday boy wanted a "They Might Be Giants Here Come the ABCs" decorated cake (www.theymightbegiants.com). Every decoration is in buttercream.

Shark Cake

This cake was for my brother's birthday. My mother made the cake and put the blue icing on it and then I did the decorations. I got the idea for this cake from a picture of another decorator's cake online. All of the decorations, except for the writing and bubbles, were made with marshmallow fondant (MMF).
