This is a cake I made for my cousins son's 5th birthday. The base is chocolate fudge cake covered in buttercream frosting and fondant. The base of the backhoe is Lemon Almond Awesome Cake covered in buttercream frosting and fondant, while the wheels, back "arm", and pile of dirt are Rice Krispie treats covered in fondant. Finally, the construction man and scoops are made of gumpaste.
