Fenway Park

This is a cake I did for a friend's birthday. She is a huge Red Sox fan, and after I got my husband's blessing to make the cake (he's a huge Yankees fan), I set about making a small "replica" of Fenway Park's best. All parts of the cake, except the Green Monster are edible. The Green Monster is actually styrofoam covered in green fondant. Wally the Green Monster was made using gumpaste, the "fans" are regular and peanut M&Ms, and the brick side was made with fondant. (The Chick Fil A logo was added as a joke since we eat there at least once a week). Everything else is my "Lemon Almond Awesome Cake" and buttercream icing.

Mooo!

This is an 8 inch double layer round cake that I made for a friend's birthday. My friend loves cows, so I decided to run with that theme. The cake is my newly named "Lemon Almond Awesome Cake" with a buttercream and raspberry filling. The entire cake was iced in buttercream and then covered in my "Moo" fondant. The cow is made of gumpaste and the marbled balls at the base of the cake are made of marbled fondant.

Princess Cake

This is a two tier princess cake for a 5 year old girl. The bottom tier is a double layer 8 inch round cake and a double layer 6 inch round cake sits on top. The cake is a plain cake with buttercream frosting. The flowers are made with royal icing and the banner and princess are made with gumpaste. Everything was also dusted with sparkles.

An Eco-Friendly Bear Essentials Sprinkle

This is a cake I made for my friend Heidi's "sprinkle." The theme of the shower was "Bear Essentials" with an eco-friendly twist. In addition, the baby-to-be's nursery bedding was all about stars. So, I combined all three--green in color to be eco-friendly, teddy bear on top and stars and bears on the sides. The cake was a two tier chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. The bear on top is gumpaste and bears and stars on the sides are vanilla fondant.

Strawberry Shortcake

This is a 10 inch homemade strawberry shortcake I made for a friend to give his wife. It's a double layer sponge cake filled with strawberries and vanilla whipped cream frosting. The cake was topped with more strawberries and glazed with strawberry preserves (homemade by my Mommy...yum!). It's a little hard to see the decoration on the top, but there is a strawberry fanned out with whipped cream.

Bunco "Wedding Cake"

This cake was for a friend that was hosting a bunco night with the theme "bad bridesmaid dresses", so I modeled this cake a little around the dress she had mentioned she was wearing. The bottom tier is a double layer chocolate cake with a raspberry & ganache filling and the top tier is my pound/plain cake with a lemon buttercream filling.
