Kitty Cat Cake

This is a cake I did for some friends daughter's seventh birthday. The top tier is chocolate cake and the bottom tier is Lemon Almond Awesome Cake. Both are covered in buttercream frosting. The cats, "blanket", and stars are made of gumpaste while the paw prints and yarn are made with royal icing. Ribbon is around both tiers.

Joint Christening Cake

This is a cake I made for my niece and son's joint Christening. The bottom tier was Lemon Almond Awesome Cake and the top tier was spice cake. Both were covered in buttercream frosting. The leaves are fondant and the Lambs and Cross were made with gumpaste.

Colts Cake

This is a cake I made for a friend's birthday. She LOVES the Colts and Peyton Manning, so it only seemed fitting to make her a Colts decorated cake with Peyton's number. The cake is the Lemon Almond Awesome Cake (pound cake) covered in buttercream and then in fondant. The football player was carved.

Lightning McQueen and Checkered Flag cupcakes

Here is the birthday cake I made for my son's 3rd birthday! He LOVES Lightning McQueen from cars, so I made him a Lightning McQueen cake and also made checkered flag cupcakes as well! Lightning McQueen is the Lemon Almond Awesome Cake with buttercream frosting, carved, and covered in fondant. The "spoiler" (in pictures below) is gumpaste.

The cupcakes are chocolate sponge cake with buttercream frosting and fondant "checkered flag" decorations.

Family Reunion Birthday Cake

Our family reunion happened to land on one of my uncle's birthday and was very close to my father's birthday. To celebrate/honor them, I created this birthday cake for them. The cake is the "Lemon Almond Awesome Cake" with buttercream and raspberry filling. The decorations are buttercream and the flowers are fondant. My mother did the flowers, too! Thanks Mom!

Ball and Chain

We found out that one of our managers at work had basically missed his birthday, due to a very demanding project. So, I made him a ball and chain birthday cake. The project's database is on top of the cake "attached" to the ball and chain. We felt it was appropriate!! The cake is the "Lemon Almond Awesome Cake" with buttercream frosting covered in dark chocolate fondant. All of the decorations are fondant.

Beach Cake

This is a two tiered chocolate cake I made for a friend's relative. The cake is decorated with buttercream frosting and then covered in fondant. The margarita glass and flip flops are gumpaste and the "salt" is sugar. The "sand" is brown sugar and the shells are made of chocolate. The "waves" and fish are buttercream frosting decorated with a brush. One side of the cake is to celebrate her birthday and the other side to celebrate her anniversary.
