Here are some Hydrangea cupcakes I made for my OB's office because they are sooooo awesome! Everything is buttercream frosting.

Butterfly Cupcakes

Here are some butterfly cupcakes I made for my cousins daughter's birthday. The butterflies and flowers are made of fondant and are sitting on top of buttercream frosting.

Hokie Bird Cake

This is a cake I made for a friend's birthday. Being a graduate of Virginia Tech, I was excited to do the Hokie Bird. The cake is a chocolate cake and all of the exterior except for the writing is covered in fondant. The writing is buttercream frosting.

Purse Cake

This is a cake I did for a co-worker. It's a chocolate cake with a raspberry and meringue buttercream filling covered in fondant. The base is a 12x12 double layer cake and the purse is carved cake. All items on the cake are edible.

Nurse Aimee

Here's a gumpaste nurse for my friends sister, Aimee's graduation from nursing school. My friend Heidi made the cake and Gumpaste Aimee sat on top of it.

Beer Bottlecap Cake

This is a cake I made for a friend's husband's birthday. His favorite beer is Red Hook, so we made a cake that looks like a Red Hook bottlecap. The cake is a 16 inch chocolate cake carved into a bottlecap and then covered in buttercream frosting and red fondant. The gray lettering is fondant and all other decorations are buttercream frosting. The red fondant was brushed in red luster dust afterwards.

Iraq Deployment Sendoff Cake

My director is being deployed to Iraq for 10 months, so we gave her a surprise sendoff. The cake is a yellow sponge cake with buttercream and raspberry filling. Both layers were iced in buttercream before being covered in fondant. The bottom later is 12x18 inches and the top layer is another 12x18 inch cake carved into the shape of Iraq. The anchor (she's in the navy) and edging was completed with buttercream frosting, and her "mini me" was made from gumpaste.
