Candy Corn Halloween Mini Cupcakes

I made some mini-cupcakes for my sons' playdate Halloween party that we're hosting tomorrow.
The cakes are actually layered in the candy corn colors (white, orange, yellow), but you can't see it for the black halloween wrappers.
Buttercream frosting, sprinkles, and a candy corn are placed on top!

Volleyball Cakes

I recently made three volleyball cakes for some local seniors.

Each cake was a carved yellow cake covered in buttercream.

The seams of the volleyball was then marked into the frosting and the girls' names and numbers were put on top in their school colors.

MMA Wedding Cake

This is a wedding cake I made for a friend.  It's a three tier (10-8-6) cake covered in buttercream.  The MMA championship belt and "Round 1", "Round 2", and "Round 3" signs are gumpaste with royal icing detail.

Princess Castle Cake

This is a two tier castle cake I made for a little girl's birthday.
The bottom tier is the Lemon Almond Awesome Cake (Pound Cake) and the top tier is a marble cake.
Both have a raspberry buttercream filling and are covered in buttercream.
The towers and turets are part of the Wilton Castle Cake kit that I decorated with buttercream, royal icing, and silver sprinkles.
The flowers were made with royal icing and the "stones" are fondant.

Roopa's Birthday Cake

My friend Roopa recently celebrated a birthday.  Not only did I actually wear a skirt to work (first time in 6.5yrs!), but I also baked her a cake!  It's a double 9" layer spice cake with buttercream frosting.  The cake was covered in a deep red fondant.  The roses are yellow fondant and the rest of the decorations were piped buttercream.

Bike Cake

My friend and her husband LOVE to bike, so when his birthday came around I made him a cake!
The cake is a double 9" layer dark chocolate fudge with a coconut filling.
It is covered in chocolate ganache and then decorated with fondant.  The bikes were hand painted on the fondant.

Superhero Birthday Cake

This is a superhero birthday cake I made for my son's 4th birthday.
The cake is a two tier cake--the bottom tier is chocolate with chocolate fudge filling and the top tier is a marble cake with chocolate fudge filling. Both tiers are covered in buttercream and fondant.
The "superheroes" were modelled after the birthday invitation and are painted on gumpaste.

The superhero logos and "city" is also painted gumpaste.

He really wanted to make sure that all of his superheroes were covered, so we have Ironman, Batman, Spiderman, and Superman "logos" on the cake.

We also had a #4 sparkler for when everyone sang Happy Birthday to him.
