Redskins Cake

This was a birthday cake for a Redskins fan. It's two chocolate 10 inch cakes covered with buttercream icing. The redskins logo was created via buttercream transfer and the two footballs are made of marshmallow fondant. "Happy Birthday" was later added on top of the cake.

This cake is amazing! I'm looking to make one for my brother for his birthday...did you make this cake yourself? I need some advice on making one look this good!

Hi Amy! Thanks for the compliment!! I did the Redskins logo using a frozen buttercream transfer technique. If you google it, you should be able to find out out to do it--it's pretty simple! Good luck!

Wow. As a Giants fan, I hate to say it, but it looks great!

This looks great. I'm trying to make a Redskins cake for my son's birthday but am not sure about the buttercream transfer. I found this, but it looks pretty difficult. http://sdbytracy.com/frozbutter.htm

Any way, really nice job!
